Songwriter Evening Returns on Saturday 5th September
Songwriter Evening returns to Ysceifiog Village Hall on Saturday 5th September, bringing another night of original live music to the village.
This is not a typical open mic evening. Every performance is dedicated entirely to original songwriting, with musicians sharing songs they have written themselves in front of an audience that has come specifically to listen.
An Evening for Music Lovers
Songwriter Evening offers the opportunity to discover exceptional musicians and hear original songs that may never have been performed publicly before.
There are no cover versions, no background music and no talking over the performers. The Village Hall becomes a dedicated listening room, with excellent acoustics, professional sound and carefully arranged lighting helping to give every song the attention it deserves.
Audience members are asked to arrive and take their seats before the music begins at 7.30pm.
An Invitation to Songwriters
Anyone who writes and performs their own songs is welcome to take part.
Performer registration begins at 7.00pm, with each songwriter given the opportunity to perform at least two original songs—and possibly more if time allows.
Performers benefit from professional-quality sound equipment, including Shure SM7B microphones, a Yamaha mixing board and Peavey speakers. The sound is mixed and balanced individually by a qualified audio engineer with more than 20 years’ experience.
Whether you are an experienced performer or preparing to share your songs with an audience for the first time, Songwriter Evening provides a friendly and supportive stage for original music.

All admission proceeds support Ysceifiog Village Hall. Neither the performers nor the organisers receive payment.
