Each Songwriter Evening is dedicated entirely to original songwriting.

Join us for our next Songwriter Evening on Saturday 6th June at Ysceifiog Village Hall, an evening where the audience comes to listen — and the performers share their own original work.

Whether you’re a songwriter ready to perform or someone who loves discovering new music, this is your invitation.

 For the Audience

Come to Songwriter Evening and experience exceptional musicians performing the songs they’ve written — not covers, not background music, but original work in a room designed for listening with superb acoustics, sound and lighting.

Musicians tell us that they love performing at Songwriter Evening because there is an audience who have actually come to listen. Sadly, that is all too rare these days. Come and find out how great original music can be in a superb setting.

Take your seat before 7:30pm and be part of an audience that gives music the attention it deserves.

 For Performers

If you write your own songs, this is your stage.

The evening follows an open mic format, open to all songwriters — with one key rule: original music only.

You’ll perform in front of a genuinely attentive audience, in a space with excellent acoustics and professional sound, giving your songs the best possible setting.

We supply Shure SM7B microphones on professional grade stands through a Yamaha board and Peavey speakers, all mixed and balanced for each performer by a qualified audio engineer with over 20 years experience. You’re going to sound great.

Each performer will have the opportunity to play at least two songs (more if time allows), so bring your best work.

 The Evening

•  7:00pm – Performer registration (tea and coffee available, donations gratefully accepted)
•  7:30pm – Music begins (please be seated)
•  £3 entry (cash or card accepted, all proceeds support Ysceifiog Village Hall, no performers or organisers are paid)

This isn’t a pub or club environment — there are no distractions, no talking over performers — just a room focused on songwriting.
