Possibly the best open mic event in North Wales…..the next Songwriter Evening will be Saturday 11th April in the Village Hall, Ysceifiog.
The evening starts at 7pm with registration of performers and the music starts at 7.30. Please be in your seat by 7.30 so you don’t miss any music. As before, the evening costs just £3 per person with all income going to help with the upkeep of Ysceifiog Village Hall. No performers or organisers are paid.
Everyone is welcome – come and listen to exceptional local musicians play the songs that they have written. There are some very talented musicians in and around North Wales and the Songwriter Evening is designed to enable those musicians to showcase their art. Come and listen to some exceptional original music performed in a superb setting with great acoustics.
Songwriters – the evening is based on the open mic format and is open to all songwriters who want to perform their own work in front of an audience. No covers please, just original work. The aim is that musicians will be able to perform at least two songs each, more if time allows.
The key point for musicians is that this is not a pub or club environment, people won’t be chatting to their mates, ordering drinks or watching TV, they are there to listen to your music. The acoustics are excellent, we supply superb Shure SM7B microphones on studio grade mic stands and a Peavey PA system controlled by a professional mixing engineer with over 20 years experience – so your music is going to sound great.
This all adds up to a superb evening for both audience and artists alike, so come along and have a great time listening to exceptional original music.
Please remember, anyone performing must perform their own original music, strictly no covers.
