We are delighted to announce the first Songwriter Evening at Neuadd Ysceifiog Hall on Saturday 7th February starting at 7.30pm.
Based on the popular open mic format the evening is open to all songwriters who want to perform their own work in front of an audience. The evening is exclusively for songwriters, so no covers, just original work.
We know that there are loads of very talented musicians in and around North Wales and the Songwriter Evening is designed to enable musicians to showcase their art to fellow musicians and the general public – everyone is welcome.
The evening will be sponsored by the Jay Reigns Recording Studio from Denbigh and the owner, Jermaine Nelson-Williams, will be doing a Q&A session during the evening answering questions about anything to do with recording and releasing music. Click here to visit Jermaine’s website
The evening will cost just £3 per person with all proceeds going to Neuadd Ysceifiog Hall. There will be a full PA system with mics and cables. Bring your own drink and nibbles and have a great evening listening to some superb original music.
The aim is that musicians will be able to perform at least two songs each, more if time allows. Please remember this is the first time we’ve run a Songwriter Evening so it may be a bit chaotic and we’ll be asking for feedback, especially from the musicians.
The key point for musicians is that this is not a pub environment, people won’t be chatting to their mates, ordering drinks or watching the TV, they will be coming to listen to your music.
Please remember, anyone performing must perform their own original music, strictly no covers.
If you have any specific questions please contact the organiser Sean Kearns at support@seankearns.uk
STOP PRESS……we’re very pleased to let you know that we’ll be running a raffle on the evening – the first prize will be one hour’s studio time at Jermaine’s recording studio in Denbigh. This time can be used to record a basic track, add to an existing track, mix an already recorded song or anything else you want to arrange with Jermaine. We’ll also have some CDs as runner-up prizes.
